I will not discuss further about gameplay because it will be confusing and to be honest you will understand faster by playing it. But I can say that there are many variables in this game such as coin flip, evolution card, and the use of a retreat strategy that will affect the final result. For those of you who are afraid of getting a simple game just because the Pokemon brand is indeed synonymous with young people then dont be afraid, this game saves enough complexity to make you rack your brain.
But with fairly slow gameplay, sometimes the game can feel very boring. Very often my deck is full of energy cards that I cant play, because if you give 3 energy to Pokemon whose highest attack only requires 2 energy then there wont be any use. So there will be lots of turns that are very similar to the previous ones because basically there isnt much you can do. But if the relationship is not on your side then within minutes you will be crushed by the enemy.
My two days experience playing Pokemon TCG Online brings the conclusion that this is not a game that suits me. Gameplay feels too slow and sometimes if you have sent the strongest Pokemon then the gameplay is not easy to turn around. If you excel at the start then you will most likely win, at least until you get a more varied card. The learning curve also feels longer and might not fit into most of the mindset of mobile gadget holders.
