Its quite difficult indeed if the player is not used to this one control, but I think after a while, then the player will start to be quite familiar with his own control.
There are several control options that can be changed on the Stellar Wanderer, such as calibration and changes in the X and Y axis. On the left side of the screen, there will be two main virtual buttons, as buttons for acceleration and brake access. The background image also looks quite clear even though it doesnt seem to move.
Not only the matter of graphics, the music and the voice of the actors also sounded very good. I just enjoy the sound of the background music and of course the voices of actors are different from each other, like hearing real conversation. So what was missed when the mechanism of the game, control system, graphics and music were well made? Does that mean there are no weaknesses at all? Certainly not.
What is missed by this one space action game is actually a trivial thing. There are two things that really make me feel frustrated sometimes. The first thing is a very small aiming point. I play this game on iPad, and even then I still often lose the aiming point because this aiming point sometimes becomes one with the image in the background, which makes it hard to see. This is certainly quite disturbing when you have to fight the enemy, spinning in a fairly fast motion.
Another disturbing thing is the Combat system. When shooting, a small box appears that functions as aiming assistance. All enemies in this box will receive an attack from our shots, even though the aiming point does not show right towards the target. Not a big thing maybe, but for some of you who really want a challenge, that might be bad news, making this one game less challenging. Unfortunately, there is no option to turn off aims help.
I dont really like action game games that require me to use accelerator controls, or eliminate virtual buttons altogether. In my opinion, this makes a game almost impossible to play in public spaces. So if you are a person who likes a game about space action and wants a game that can be played anywhere and anytime, the Stellar Wanderer is not a game that suits you. Some people may not have the problem of moving the iPad in public, but some others may be awkward enough to do it blatantly.
But beyond that, and overall, Stellar Wanderer is an excellent space adventure action game. The graphics are almost like games on a console, the sound of music that matches the action that the player performs in every adventure, and the sound of the actor who fills each character is very well played. And even though the background of the story is quite cliched, I can still enjoy it anyway. Maybe its time for you to try it yourself, to see and feel what its like to be a space explorer.
