Maybe if I follow the classification it is clear the game Dragon Storm falls into the last category. Although at first glance this game might feel like an action game but basically this game is an arcade game with action elements and RPG or fantasy themes.
Gameplay in this game makes me remember an old game called Bishi Bashi. More specifically, in mini-games where we have to hit the bad guys who come from the left, center and right in the order. Dragon Storm uses gameplay that resembles the mini-game but only from two directions, right and left. And indeed there are also various other features that make it more complicated than the bishi bashi mini-game but basically its still the same.
The controls are quite easy, our character cant move and we only have to attack between our right or left sides that are reached. Our characters wield swords so its range is quite far. Each enemy has their own health bar, and our character also has a health bar. Our attacks also have their own damage and the damage will be higher when we have bought better equipment or use items to improve our weapons.
One of the things I like about this game is that the developers dont take this game as something serious and heavy but it really feels like a casual game that anyone can play with additional RPG elements. And also in this game there are light jokes that make it easier to play and for me it makes it easier to distribute stories.
The appearance of this game uses the pixel art style that is popular now, and overall it looks like retro games.
