Graphically, Ramboat 2 does look cooler and has quite a lot of enemy variations, but it feels like the first Ramboat is still more charming because the characters appear more funny. For those who feel lost the cool characters from the first Ramboat, Rose is still present in Ramboat 2, but only as a supporting character.
And what makes Ramboat 2 so different from the first one even though the game is both free-to-play, is the presence of a mobage system in it. There is a stamina system in the form of energy that must be consumed every time playing a stage, an upgrade system that uses pieces of blueprint cards, and a loot box system which is essentially a Gacha. The game itself is offline, but when played online, players can watch a video advertisement to get a loot box. Microtransactions are presented for the purchase of premium Gold or in-game money.
Finally, the feeling of “rush” in the first Ramboat is no longer felt, especially since the game has started to be commercial by adding a mobage system such as stamina and loot box.
